Pricing & Royalties Setup

On HypeU, you don’t just get paid once—you build a revenue stream that lasts as long as collectors keep trading your cards. By setting smart prices and understanding royalties, you create value for both your fans and yourself. This section explains how pricing, royalties, and level progression work, and how you can use them to maximize your long-term income.

Step 1

First Sale Earnings – Your Immediate Payout

When you sell a card for the first time, most of the money goes straight to you:

  • Level 1 & 2 Creators – Keep 90% of the first sale, with only 10% going to HypeU as a platform fee.
  • Level 3 Creators – Keep an even bigger share, 92.5%, with a reduced 7.5% platform fee.

💡 Example: If you price a Common card at $20, you take home $18 right away at Level 1. As you level up, your cut increases.

Step 2

Royalties on Every Resale – Passive Earnings

The real power of HypeU comes from royalties. Each time a fan or collector resells your card, you keep earning:

  • Seller Fee: You retain up to 95% of each resale.
  • HypeU Fee: Fixed at 2.5%, ensuring sustainability of the platform.
  • Mintor Fee: Ranges from 2.5% to 5%, depending on your creator level.

💡 Example: If a Legendary card you minted originally sells for $500 and later gets resold for $2,000, you still earn royalties from that $2,000 transaction—even if it happens years later.

Step 3

Mint & Rarity Options by Level – Unlocking Higher Value Cards

As you grow, you gain access to more powerful minting options:

  • Level 1 – Mint 5 Commons monthly, great for building your fanbase.
  • Level 2 – Mint 5 Commons monthly + 3 Epics quarterly, giving collectors more exclusivity.
  • Level 3 – Mint 5 Commons monthly + 3 Epics quarterly + 1 Legendary yearly, unlocking your highest-value collectibles.

💡 Strategy Tip: Use Commons for reach, Epics to engage collectors, and Legendaries to build prestige and scarcity.

Step 4

Editions & Scarcity – Driving Collector Demand

Scarcity fuels demand. By controlling how many editions exist, you make your cards more desirable:

  • Level 1 & 2: Up to 20 editions per mint.
  • Level 3: Up to 30 editions per mint.

💡 Example: If you mint 20 editions of an Epic card, once they’re sold out, collectors can only buy from resellers—driving resale value and your royalties.

Step 5

Level Jumps – Path to Higher Rewards

Moving up levels doesn’t just unlock more minting—it also lowers fees and increases your earning potential:

  • Level 1 → Level 2: Sell 25 cards.
  • Level 2 → Level 3: Earn $10,000 in sales.
  • Level 3 Growth: Earn $100,000 in sales to maximize your status and benefits.

Every level jump makes your cards more valuable and your payouts larger.

Step 6

Pricing Strategy Tips

  •  Start affordable with Commons to let every fan participate.
  • Price Epics at mid-tier levels ($50–$200) to attract collectors who want exclusivity.
  • Reserve premium pricing for Legendaries, sometimes $1,000+ for one-of-a-kind cards.
  • Bundle your releases (e.g., drop a Common and an Epic together) to build momentum.
